right click on you desktop
select new > shortcut
where it says "type the location of the item"
type in http://yahoo.com
click next
change the name of the shortcut to yahoo
click finish
when click this will bring up your default browser with yahoo loaded

Quickly and easily:

1. Go to the site you want to creat a shortcut for.
2. Size your browser so that you can see a bit of your desktop (you might need to minimize any other windows).
3. Left click and hold the little icon to the left of the web address in your browser; drag to your desktop.

If you are using Internet Explorer, when you are on Yahoo, select File, then Send, then Shortcut to Desktop.

set yahoo as your homepage, then just use the internet explorer/firefox/ whatever, shortcut and it will bring you straight to yahoo. other than that yopu cant set a direct shortcut on your desktop to a web page. sorry

the internet explorer icon is the shortcut for the yahoo home-page when the home page is set to yahoo.co.uk
you can the then right click the internet explorer icon and change the icon to a yahoo icon,try this link to find a appropriate icon...http://dir.yahoo.com/Arts/Design_Arts/Graphic_Design/Web_Page_Design_and_Layout/Graphics/Icons/
or you can simply use a icon from the windows libary and rename it "yahoo homepage"

right click with your mouse then creat a short cut and save to desk top.
Save it as a yahoo! book mark in favourites
Change your internet options and save My Yahoo! as your default web-browser page.
Get the Yahoo Too bar. all these are free on Yahoo

Create a bookmark/favorite of it in your web browser, then simply drag and drop the bookmark/favorite onto your desktop.
