I'm working on a novel, and the title I have isn't working for me. It's about 3 women who have lost three men in their family (grandfather, father and son for the middle-aged woman), and are dealing with their grief, lonliness, finding their strength etc. It interweaves a runaway slave who is their ancestor, which they discover at the end of the story. Any ideas?

Perhaps the name of the ancestor?
If you've got any passages you really like perhaps pull a line from there. Great language makes a good title.
Maybe pull out a metaphor that you use and highlight it in the title.
Good luck.
