normally when i say it, as it usually goes the same with other guys, i intend it to mean "i like you and all but im just not interested in a relationship". hope it helps

That he likes the girl. I would think he means that he likes her as a friend and not as a girlfriend. You don't really know unless you ask the guy what he means.

If he is in love with you he will say it. And if you ask and he says he likes you but not love, then that is what he means.

WTF are you talking about?I dont think he's INTENDING to say anything...I think he answered the question...he LIKES her, doesn't love her..but that doesnt necessarily mean he never will...sounds to me you just didnt like the answer...havent you learned that you never ask a question that you only want one answer to?
