I love it, my husband and I were undecisive of a name for a little girl, we love the nick name of Lainy but couldnt think of a name that could be a name shortened to this!! We thought of Alaina but we have a daughter called Eleanor and a friend of ours has a daughter called Alannah and Alaina sounds very similar to these! Wanted middle nme of Di-Ann, so Laynah Di-Ann sounds lovely! Whats your other little girls name? Happy New Year to you and your family xxx

My mother told me when she is born you will knoe. She had Christina picked for my sister and she was that for 2 days then she said she didnt look like a Christina and choose Stephanie! I had Charlie when my daughter was born we named her Jodie Charlie. You will know go with your heart and dont worry about it you will make the right choice and wont regret it!! I used to trawl through papers and magazines looking at editors and repoters names and was an obsessive ha ha.

I think it's odd, sounds like one of the participants on a Jerry Springer Show. Stick with a nice classic name that won't age ... think of all those Kylies out there, and Charlenes and all that. Your child will have to use that name throughout her life so give her a head start with something that is classic, rather than fashionable.

its one of those names that will get you funny looks until people get used to it. If it fits with your surname go with it.
Mine are Amber Leigh, Jessica Lauren, who started as Lauren Jessica, and Bethany Jade. If I were to have another it would be Jovie for a girl or Jovi for a boy.

that's up to you to decide! no one else should have a say! when i had my little girl Eleanor, my partner was late so he missed the birth, but when he walked in he went into a state of shock and just stared at her. so i got to pick the name. it was something we had both discussed but hadn't made our top 5, but at the time it felt right. go on your gut instinct, it's your decision. good luck xx

what is your first baby called? do the names sound good together? and does it fit the surname?
if so, and you like it, then its your choice!
