Next time it happens, DON'T RUN. NEVER RUN IN YOUR DREAMS. It has a psychological affect that will work against you subconsciously in your daily life's activities. That dream is about something you're afraid of no doubt, so I'd try to inhibit more courage about everything in life. I'm sure you could figure out the answer if you looked back into your daily life about things you're scared of and run from, but that's exactly the affect that running in dreams represents. It's a mental thing, you'll be able to beat it when you begin inhibiting and portraying that courage, in dreams and in reality.

From what I know, dogs represent hidden enemies. There may be some people that want to harm you, so you should be alert, because they are people of whom you think of as friends. The alley is a confined space, meaning that they want to catch you in an uncomfortable situation. Running isn't bad... it means you're trying to escape....though, next time you might want to look around and see if there isn't anything else that might help you stand up against them and use it so, at least in your dream, you'll win the battle.

The dream could represent an ongoing struggle withing your life. Maybe it could be something that haunts you and that will not stop. Since you were being chased by dogs, the dogs could represent many challenges, fears, or tasks that you have put off and they are now back invading your life. Or it could just be a nightmare after watching a horror film.

The dogs are a symbol of masculinity. The alley represents a place outside of the home. So, my guess is there is a male figure or figures that you encounter somewhere away from home. At work or at school? You don't like them, and you feel threatened by them. Not necessarily physically threatened, maybe just emotionally.

I think that you might feel under pressure and scared of something. You are trying to evade it but it chases you off. Sometimes I dream with dogs too. They bite my foot and start chewing my flesh it is weird and scary too. I try to fight the dog but I can't. In my real world I have a lot of preoccupations, however I try to ignore them for a while. It is hard though.

Words like alley: Life's passage. A narrow or secret way. Gossip.

Words like dogs: To dream about a dog that fondles you indicates great gain and constant friends. To hear the barking of dogs, foretells news of depressing nature. Difficulties are more likely to follow.

I'd say you are avoiding an issue that is following you around and wont' go away by itself. If you don't address this issue it could destroy something in your life; job, girl friend, sales deal, etc...

It could be a fear you have and don't know of really, or some body at work threatening your promotion, etc..

If the dog is vicious and growling then it signifies some inner conflict within yourself. It may indicate betrayal and trustworthiness.
