Call 1800walmart.
they cannot refuse your gift card on a grocery purchase, if you have to go to the self checkouts and check yourself out, and when the screen for payment comes up hit walmart shopping card. you shouldn't have a problem, I use a walmart card all the time for groceries, I was a walmart associate for seven years, leaving the company in august, if you still have problems cotnact the store manager, then call the number above, you have every right to use that card on food, I do.

I have never heard of that happening. The gift cards are supposed to valid for ANY purchase at a Walmart store, food and gas included. Try calling the number on the back of the card for info, or call the customer service line (800) Wal Mart

Wal-Mart's home office is in Bentonville, Arkansas.

"Google" Wal-Mart to get the names of the President, and VP Customer Relations. Write them a letter protesting their "gift card" policy.

Send the same letter to your local newspaper's "Letter to the Editor" section.

That absolutely stinks ! If it's Wal-Mart it should be for anything in the store, contact their website & or call their main headquarters & complain.
