how do i get pretty??

all the guys say im ugly well almost all of um some think im hot..but idk hot to get prettyer like all my friends??? i need sum help so if i could get some beauty tips 4 my hair er somethin.. i wear name brand clothes like hollister and aero and american eagle and all that already but idk im just plain ugly

Hey there Vanessa. I felt the same way too for a very long time. I tried everything from makeovers to botox for my face. Let me tell you that beauty is from within. As difficult as it may seem, you should try not to care what others think. Even if you are supermodel material, there will always be guys who think that they are and some will think they are not attractive. Everyone has their own opinion about what beauty is.

I think it is important to make ourselves up when going out. Even if it means a little lipstick and nice hair. Nothing too much because then we just look trampy :o)

Once you begin to feel good about yourself, you will send out this message to all men subconciously and that my dear is what will attract the guys to you.

You need to feel beautiful from within FIRST. Then you will be beautiful to others.

When you find that special someone, then he will like you for who you are rather than who you are trying to be.

You don't need to change yourself just because some no sense boys says ur not pretty because every one may have there out laws and may think there ugly but really they're not because everyone is beautiful. You don't need to change ur hair or style or yourself for anyone becuase that is u and u shud feel good about the wayt you look and carry yourself. And if the boys don't like that then fine becuase one day you will find someone that likes you for you.

ok even though im sure thats not true here are some tips:
1- make up (not to much not to little the trick is make it look natuaral)
2- dont were your hair the same way every day thats y your a girl so you can expierment. also everyones hair is cute when they cut thoer bangs going tothe side. thats real popular now and its cool to wear cute head bands
3- even if your just chillin wear acssesories
4- always have a layed back cool atitude towards people

You need to gain some self confidence and self respect. I'm telling you the truth, girl, be yourself and people will think you're beauitful! If they don't, please don't go overboard with makeup. That's very uncool and gross too. Maybe just a light gloss or a bit of eye shadow will be nice on you, but not everything. So don't pile everything on, just a little bit of makeup will go fine for you. It depends on your face frame, on what we can do with your hair. I'd really like it if you posted some pictures so I can draw out some ideas for you. Loose ponytails always look nice, they're low-key and still pretty cute. Or buns, nice buns. I don't know, whatever you're comfortable and cool with doing.

We're all pretty in our own way. Really, stop caring what other people think of u. Its not worth it. Dont change!! If you change your friends may not want to hang out with u. Just try different make up and hair styles. Experiment with your make up when you get bored. Be you!! Your friends are your friends cuz they liked YOU not for how pretty you are or arent.

i would suggest trying to play up your best features, so if you think you have really pretty eyes, make them stand out by wearing a color that will make your eye color "pop" and if you wear make up, go to a makeup counter in your mall and ask them to help you pick out colors ( for blush, lig gloss, eye shadow) that look best with your skin tone and eye color.

as for your hair, i dont know what color it is or what type of hair you have but go to your hairdresser and ask what style would look best on you and after you get it cut, ask what type of products she used so you can get that look at home.

go to a really good hair salon and if an expert is doing your hair they'll know what to do. Also go to like macy's or dillard's and get your makeup done for free at clinique then they'll tell you what to buy and how to wear the makeup.
