The NFC should just give the playoff spot to a more deserving AFC team.

The Carolina Panthers.... and here's why.
The New York Giants are playing in Washington, and if people haven't noticed, Jason Campbell and Ladell Betts could be the hottest QB-RB combo in the league the past few weeks. Redskins will eliminate the Giants, who are playing without a healthy Jeremy Shockey.
The Chicago Bears would love to ruin Favre's "last game" as a Packer, and Urlacher has said that the defense will play most of the way through... the bears rested in week 17 last season, and it got them beat due to the over-resting.
The Carolina Panthers finally get Jake Delhomme back at QB, and the running game was extremely hot last week, totally owning the time of possession clock... DeAngelo Williams + DeShaun Foster will combine for 150 yards rushing, and the panthers earn a playoff birth after winning a low-scoring game @ New Orleans.
and of course they have a "shot" at going deep... with the Seattle Seahawks super bowl hangover... Rex Grossman at QB in Chicago... and the Cowboys with T.O. (Team Obliterater)

I like STL to take the #6 seed. Here's why: I think NYG and GB will both lose (to WAS and CHI, respectively). That opens it up to ATL, STL, and CAR. I think CAR will get drilled by NO. In that scenario, even if ATL beats PHI, STL would win the tie-breaker. In fact, even if GB beats CHI, STL wins the tie-breaker if PHI beats ATL, which I think is likely.
The #6 seed takes on PHI in the wild-card round. I don't like STL's chances there at all, so I'd say NO, they DON'T have a shot to go deep in the weak NFC.

I'd like to say my Giants, but theyre so unpredictable these days.
And if they do win, and get the last spot, they get to play the #1 seed, which is probably Chicago in Soldier Field.
Yeah, that'll work......
BuhBye til next year.
