Yes it is because after a c-section the healing time is alot longer and its more time before you can be as active again. I am not saying its impossible, but its not an easy time.

I had a c-section 8 years ago and will be having another one with this baby in July. With a vaginal birth you are up and walking no time at all, after a c-section you are immobile for 24 hours or more (depending on your status). The healing time for me before I got full movement back was about 4 weeks, its tough to loose weight if you can't be active.

Good Luck to you! :)

I have had 2 c-sections. I couldn't breastfeed for either of them. I know from experience that my weight came off faster after the first one. After my second child I still worked out the same. But things shifted more with the second pregnancy. I also know that my friends who had vaginal births seemed to lose weight a little quicker, but they were also breastfeeding.

As for the quicker healing, I was up and walking 4 hours after my second c-section. I knew what to expect the second time around. There is a little more recovery time needed with surgery. But once you are healed going back to a workout routine is totally okay.

This is a tricky question, I've been told vaginal birth lets you get back to your normal self quicker. However Breast feeding is the real key to weight loss after. Your body uses a lot of energy producing milk

yes. I had two c-sections and it is very hard becauase you need the extra time to heal. The muscles do not bounce back like in a vaginal birth.

should make absolutely no difference. its all what you do after like normal weight loss. but its recommended you dont try to lose weight until 4 - 6 weeks after the birth

I'm not sure if it's more difficult to lose the weight but it is harder to get your stomach muscles back in shape because of the healing time and the fact that they were cut.

I have not had a c-section but I asked my Dr. this.

He said its harder after a c-section because of the way the muscles are cut.
