I've switched to new pills & was just wondering if there was a chance I could've gotten pregnant so soon after my period was over. I had unprotected sex the first day of my new pills but I started the pills on time & was never late. I've heard that you are more fertile sometimes right before your period & right after. Is this true & do you think I should take a test?

You are most fertile 12-16 days after the first day of your period. It will not do any good for you to take test unless you miss your next period. The tests only work on or after the first day of your missed period. I think there is a brand that may work 5 days before you're due to start your period. I wouldn't worry. There is probably not that much difference between the 2 pills. As long as you didn't miss taking any pills, you should be fine.

I learned in my Natural Family Planning class that it's myth about how you're most fertile 14 - 16 days after your period. That would mean that every woman's body is the same which is not true. Every woman's fertility is different. Chart your days and you can find out when you are most fertile. It could possibly be 14-16 days after period, but it could also be 20 days after, my fertile days are different almost every time. Ways to find out when you are fertile is your waking temp, vaginal mucous, and the position of your cervix - just to name a few. There are plenty of sites on the web to learn about this method. As for the test, i think your should take one just to be on the safe side.

Actually between the middle of your cycles. BUT this is just an average. You can Ovulate at any time in your cycle. If you have questions I would test because if you are preggo then you need to stop the pills. Dollar tree stores sells them for a dollar each!

You are fertile all the time, but it would depend on your cycle on when you are most fertile. If you think you are pregnant wait a weeek and take a test. Until then make sure you don't drink or do anything like that because you could have a child growing inside of you and alcohol can cause birth defects from the begining.

ur fertile in the middle of ur menstrual cycle as the ovum is released in ur fertile phase which is in the middle of ur menstrual cycle (menstrual cycle starts on the first day of ur menstruation). unlikely to be fertile after u had ur menstruation as the womb has some 'repairings' to do to the uterus wall. just take the test to be sure.
