What's a synonym for "to dwell upon"? I'm looking for a specific one, one that sounds something like 'complamating'. Or something. I can't find it anywhere D:

Ruminate - to chew again.

For thoughts, it means to return to those thoughts again and again or to dwell upon them.

"The verb "to ruminate" has been extended metaphorically to mean "to thoughtfully ponder" or "to meditate" on some topic. Similarly, ideas may be "chewed on" or "digested"." - according to Wikipedia
