expired Mcafee or should I uninstall it.

The only green light on it is the antihacker under my security index (the rest are orange and red.

Under the service status, the personal firewall plus and virusscan say they are protected (the rest privacy serices and spam killer say they are expired.

I have ave free, ave free, ave free spyware, adaware, spyware blaster, and windows firewall..

The question I want answered is should I remove all mcafee or should I wait until (if ever) nothing is protected and all security shows red. (the privacy management is annoying asking me to verify each time but it can't be specifically removed..just the whole mcafee program.

You may mention needed programs but definitely answer do I need this Mcafee or not and should I keep or remove what protection it is still giving.

I would just remove the whole thing. Everything I've heard about McAfee is that it's really not any good anyway.

When I first got my computer, I has McAfee and found that even with the updates, it would let some things through that the AVG would pick up. It didn't make me feel confident with McAfee's performance. I just removed McAfee and all it's components as well. I also have AVG Free, Microsoft Firewall, Microsoft Defender and Adaware and have not had any problems at all.

I personally would let everything expire before removing it but I'm paranoid. You seem to have a good selection of other security so no, you don't need it, Just make sure everything is protected, anti-virus, firewall and an ad-ware. I use more then one anti-virus. I have Norton Internet Security, Spybot and Spy Sweeper and adaware. As long as you have everything covered you don't need McAfee although it is one of the best.

Yes uninstall Mcafee. Give your outher programs a chance to work. It's like two driver's trying to drive a single car at the same time.

I'd call McAfee, because they are the best anti-software. I have the same problem. I have kept mine and am going to renew it so all is working. They protect the best from hackers, spam, etc. But it's your decision.

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:
