Believe it or not i think the lions need to get a stud back, when your QB is second on the team for rushing yards with 131 there's a problem. Personally i think kitna is an ok QB, but RB is where they need the most help. If not in the backfield, where they do have young Brian Calhoun, they should look at the DEF. Like the saying goes DEF wins championships.

If the Lions get the first pick, they should get QB Troy Smith out of Ohio State. Kitna is a one year rental at most and he lost his job to Carson Palmer back in Cincinatti. Smith, if declared, should be one of the latest mobile QB to come to the league and if Vince Young could this, then the reigning Heisman winner should be the future for the rebuilding Lions. Brady Quinn of Notre Dame is another option for the Lions, a prototypical QB that could excel under the Mike Martz offense (the one that made St. Louis the "greatest show on turf").

The Lions could use a better QB but Quinn is not the guy for this team. Troy smith would bring a lot more to the team.

Since I'm a Packer Fan, I'd say how about another Wide Receiver?!?!?!?
You're asking a totally silly question unless Detroit drafts a new General Manager first....which Packer fans hope you don't do (it was just like being a Brewer fan and hoisting a beer every time the Cubs kept Dusty around for another year....)

An offensive co-ordinator.
They need a QB and a RB for sure. The question is which do they need more. I think they should trade for a QB like Garcia, and take a RB that can run behind their line. If their current QB can run as much as he can imagine if you put a powerful, quick RB in the backfield.

if they get the first pick, they should take Brady Quinn, Notre Dame QB, the Lions have needed a stud Qb for like the past 15 years at least.

If they do get the 1st pick like they should they MUST go Brady Quinn out of ND. His college coach mentored him and polished him just for the pros. Kitna may start another year but after that Quinn is the answer in Detroit.

First thing you do is ask Matt Millen who he would draft before you fire him, then you avoid that player like he is the plague.
