stop smoking, or keep away from people who do smoke, if possible. when it's not possible, while washing yourself and your clothes is the next best choice, you can also try using fabreze for your clothing and a spritz of perfume or cologne for your hair.
good luck.

I lived with a friend who smoked and I just moved out, the answer to your question is time i think. I only stayed there for like a month and me and my daughters close smell like smoke. I washed all of our clothes with the new gain joyful expressions and it just smells like flowers and smoke to me. Things that I have washed a couple times dont smell like it anymore though. But if i was the one smoking it might have took even longer. As for the skin thing, after you shower you shouldnt really smell it anymore. My daughters biological father smokes (about a pack a day) and when he took a shower I couldnt smell it on him anymore, but if that doesnt work i would think that it will probably just take some time.

it has taken over a year for the smell of the previous owner's cigarette smoke to disappear from my car.

for your skin, try a sauna. clothes will take a few washes I guess.

If you stop smoking, it would probably do the trick ;-)

Seriously though, if you're not ready to quit you can try spraying Febreze on your clothes and washing your hands immediately after you smoke and then using a scented lotion. This might cut down on the smell.

Good luck, and I hope one day you can stop smoking---it's so much better for you health wise, and less hassle of trying to cover up the smell!! :)

Stay away form smoking or the ones that smoke. Then of course wash all your clothes, rinse with vinegar or Baking soda, and rinse again. for yourself also baking soda in your bath, and rinse hair with a diluted vinegar rinse. Do not go into a smoking environment again.

My parents smoke in their house and even though they don't smoke inside while we are there with our son (He was a preemie) the smell still inbeds everything. I have to take a shower and wash everything. No perfume will mask that nasty smell.

Your skin, I would say soap and lotion will do that. The clothes when you wash them, take and put some vinegar in the extra rinse cycle, then just dry as usual..Good luck.

The only real way is to shower and wash your clothes. Dont try "masking" the smell with perfume or anything else

Stay away from any establishment that allows it. If your smoking then stop. Wash your clothes and take a shower then don't go back to that place.
