My mother gave me 4 Balenciaga gowns from the 50s that my grandmother gave her. 2 are in near perfect condition--2 are also in near perfect condition save they used to be white and are now off-white with some discoloration that I'm sure a professional could take care of. I have had one vendor value them at quite a bit, but I want to shop around and don't want to sell to the first person. I found the vendor on the internet but am at a loss as to where else to look. Any ideas?

Selling them on ebay would require that I pay a listing fee that considering the value of the dresses, I can't afford (and considering how much they're worth I don't know if they'd sell the first run on ebay). Therefore, a dealer would be better but I don't know where to go/whom to speak to...

Why do you want to sell these dresses? They are heirlooms...don't you want to keep them?

That being said - your best bet is either an antiques dealer or ebay! Get them appraised by a dealer, then put a reserve on ebay.

what size? you can sell them to me! haha

Ebay is a great way to sell, because you can put in the minimum price you would take for the item and then the auction bids will go up and you might end up with a higher price than you thought you could get in the first place. good luck!!!!
