Make sure you keep in mind, this does not apply to all men. There are good men out there that don't cheat, and don't think it is acceptable for anyone to cheat. This can also be reversed, some women think it is okay to cheat. This problem is an individual problem, not a man problem. If the man/woman has morals and cares for the person they are dating they usually tend not to cheat and if by chance they do cheat, then yes they would feel guilty.

You are right and it's very, very wrong. It's kind of like media coverage of something changes peoples conception of things and whether thy are right or wrong.
He's a little man and she's a little tramp. It's a male ego trip . an done we all (males) should be ashamed of.
But if you notice it's all blical or religious related and the bible (or any religious books ) alway gives the man an edge in matters over women. It's almost as god truely hates women. The evidence is there. rules made for men by men and women unfortunately are the blunt of mens mistakes due to centuries of religious intolerances, and male rule.
Women can best combat this by refusing to accept it, refusing to ever be second to any man.
Women can set about to change this conception in the work place, school, family life and most important in demanding thet the bible, koran, and any other religious institution such as the Catholic Church make the neccessary changes in it's bibles, laws, neccessary to gurantee women totally equality.
There are more women than women in any country on earth. It is just up to them to refuse anything less than total recognization as equals in life.

because society has been governed by men for so long --- we are supposed to "sow our wild oats" before marriage yet marry a virgin
i am or was no better --- i cheated but did not feel gulty never had an affair always paid for it (its legal here and thank goodness --- no criminal element and the ladies dont have to hide)
i have never considered a lady a tramp or a whore under any circumstances

I think their guilt for cheating would be the same as a woman's guilt for cheating on their husband. It is about equal.
Clara Harris ran over her husband and killed him with his daughter in the car begging her to stop. She did it because he was cheating on her. Most do not realize she had been cheating on her husband too but it looks like that did not matter to her...only what he did to "her" mattered.
Cheating is a two way street and I know many women who will only go with married men because they do not want a commitment.
Men often get lost in their jobs and neglect the needs of their wives. Some men who like to sleep around are very good at picking up on this and often they start by listening to these women and one thing leads to another. When women cheat, it often starts off with an emotional affair before it becomes physical...so guys...LISTEN to your wife.
Men often cheat because they feel they are not valued by their wive. Often they are emotionally abused because their wife feels they are being ignored. We often hear the old "locked out of the bedroom" or "your sleeping on the sofa tonight" jokes but folks...they are not jokes. They can lead to infidelity as women too are quick to sense that a man is not getting "needs" met at home. Many of these women do go after married men because they do not want commitment.
The best way to avoid this for both men and women...listen to each other. Pay attention and "date" your spouse. Something drew you both together...don't forget to keep doing the things you did then.

Some do and some don't. But remember it's a mans world and that's the way it is. Until society make the standards the same, women will always get the short end of the stick.

Depends on the man. For men sex is a bodily function (like urinating). I still think they can control it. But, they seem less apt to feel sorry about it. Then say a women, but with that said a man is just as much a whore in my eyes if he is sleeping with multiple partners.

I don't know why society is geared this way either, seems there has always been a double standard as far as this goes. It's as if men's actions are excused because they "have needs". We women aren't supposed to have needs? I think this way of thinking must be a remnant of the patricarchal Victorian age or something.

It really depends on the man - depends what he values.
I know men who seem to feel nothing no matter what they do ( pretty sad ); then there are times, guys just makes mistakes n do feel remorse; and there's men that loves his partner, feels guilty n still keep on doing it...
But yes, our society does seem to judge females more hashly than men when it comes to cheating or having casual sex.

Rather than generalize, it's a similar situation that has happened to both men and women. Transitioning from one girlfriend to another or a woman's transition from one boyfriend to another often involves some sort of painful breakup or "cheating". The real issue is that both guys and girls search for that special someone that completes them, and otten in the process are hurt and hurt others along the way.

Whatever guilt that they MIGHT feel is outweighted by the pleasure.
The whore/tramp title is to keep you (all women) under control.
Dont buy into it
cheating is a a character issue
