First off I'm sorry. I know you must me tired at this point!!!!

I'm confused as to why they keep making you wait longer.

The depression is probably due to being pregnant for so long and not really seeing an end in sight.

I guess just keep trying the same thing you have already done. I guess the good thing is you have progressed some more if you count loosing more of the plug. So maybe these things are working just working in slow motion!

Maybe try nipple stimulation or pumping.

Good luck Hun I'm sending you some labor vibes!

Nicolina, the best thing you can do for a healthy baby is to stop being stressed. Nature has a way of working itself out. No pun intended. My first child 34 years ago, they said my due date was April 12...he was born May 23rd! I drank cod liver oil, did the same things you did, the only difference it made, was a good do do and my husband was very happy:) The first child sometimes takes longer, I dont know why, just natures cruel joke I guess.
My labor started as back pains, so I did not pay much attention to it, went to the doctor for a regular weekly and he said, why dont you just "mosey" over to the hospital!!! I had dialated about half already, got to the hospital and 45 minutes later the little bugger was born...hang on girl, it will get there soon, then you will wish it was back in so you can get some rest:)
also, babies seem to be born more on a full moon week too!

Wow, the doctor is waiting till you're over two weeks late. . .that is CERTAINLY reason to feel down and depressed. It's normal, sweetie. I remember starting to feel that way at 37 weeks, I'm serious. Ask your dr about the risk of infection, though. If your mucus plug is coming out than your cervix is open to infection, which can cause big problems.

It can't be much longer than the next 6 days. I'll pray that labor starts!

Good Luck! There are lots of old wives tales about how to bring on labor nipple stimulation, castor oil, warm baths, bumpy car rides, walking and sex can all help as for your getting depressed yes I see why over 40 weeks and growing larger by the day is depressing remember it will all be worth it very soon.

Well at the most 6 days lol, i know you are fed up with it all but thing of it this way, all those movements you have felt, will soon be gone, why not wait it out another 6 days? and do your best to enjoy those last precious moments. When its done you will miss the feeling......

I had my last child at 41 weeks and 2 days and yesit is DEPRESSING
my midwife had me breast pump for fifteen minutes 3 times with 10 minute rest in between It worked !
then just relax your mind and body and it will flow!
you might have to go on antibiotics to prevent infection
