The chemicals reflect the light, therefore the light rays do not penetrate. Anything that is light colored and dense will reflect the light rays...that is how the black light operates.

Cigs under a black light, I don't know, I'd think that I would have noticed at some point by now after smoking for so long. You should see what a black light does to a gin 'n tonic! That's worth checking out. It has the most shimmering irridescent aqua-blue glow that you've ever seen, it's absolutely beautiful. I've sat in bars drinking and smoking many times, but the only glow on my cigs was from lighting them.

Yes, there are specs of radioactive isotopes in them that glow under black light. Also animal and fecal matter from roaches and other insects will glow under black light.

Your right, some of the tobacco fibers do show up through the paper under black-light. I always wondered about that. Twenty months today since I quit. Yeah! April 29, 2005.

I have heard that people say bless you because one of the first signs of the plague was that you would sneeze. I'm not sure of this, but that's what I heard, not because of the heart stopping. Your fact I would think incorrect because how would anyone hundreds of years ago or even just 100 years ago probably would know about their heart stopping for a millisecond? Yue. ^.^ But, just saying. The other facts are very interesting. :D

I quit smoking 5 1/2 years ago. This is yet another good reason why. However, my uncontrollable asthma still remains the #1 reason.

They use a lot of chemical ingredients in the cigarettes.

Could be honey or whatever they use to get tobacco to stick together.
