What’s the use of having nutritional facts posted on a bottle of water?

Because some people are stupid. Why do they put instuctions on the back of shampoo bottles? Some dumb person would ask what the nutrition of water was!

I've wondered that myself, and always make it a point to show people the nutritional facts.

The only thing I can figure is that is

A) Some dumb law that even applies to water OR
B) The manufacturers want to prove there is nothing else in it

All water except distilled water has minerals dissolved in it. Though they have no caloric or nutritional value, they may not be on ones specific diet. For instance, people with high blood pressure usually want to restrict chlorides.

Well it tells you how big a serving size of water is?
And how many servings are in a bottle of water.
That would be the only logical reason I could think of.

Some people are allergic to chemicals that are put in water, such a fluoride. This allows them to know if the product contains, or has come into contact with such chemicals so that they can avoid a reaction.
