Personally, only one sport is worth watching, year after year, that's right you guessed it, unless your son is in the major leagues or nba, why bother? Pansies? These guys get paid tons of money and deal with equivalent amounts of stress and pressure to perform. Go ahead, play god.

You know, I get so tired of those who have to declare a favorite "anything" and ferociously defend it by putting all others down.
I LOVE soccer, LOVE ice hockey, LOVE football, and LIKE all the rest. You know how I am able to do that? I don't look down my nose at any type of sports. I don't care if I have to watch two bottom dwelling 2nd Division teams from some obscure soccer league or the World Cup championship game.
It's soccer, I love it, 'nuff said.

To all of you airheads saying soccer is boreing.....you have lost all hope of having an attention span! Americans want it hot on a plate in seconds....numb and dumb. Soccer is a true test of REAL fitness because you have to be aerobically AND physically strong AND have a sense of FINESSE to play it. Try playing it and you will cough up small children. Then you will know how HARD it really is. You gotta have lungs baby! Constant running about and without pads. Watch Bremen, Barcelona, Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Lyon or Manchester United, Boca Juniors, River Plate or any Brazilian club team BEFORE you make your final decision about soccer. It ain't just a beautiful game but a tough manly sport and too pure for some. Good luck................

Cuz it's more entertaining to watch!!! And besides, it's the most widespread sport in the world--the King of Sports!!! And besides, there are a ton of hotter guys playing soccer than in any other sport!!!

Soccer is so boring it makes me want to stab myself in the eye with a hot iron. 90 minutes of watching guys standing around and kicking the ball back and forth to each other (Talk about pansies... how manly is that?) only to come to a 0-0 tie is about the most pointless waste of time I can think of. At least at the DMV you get your license or registration as an end result.

football (american): you get to rest too much, not a true test of dynamic athleticism.
baseball: sometimes its fun to watch a good pitching duel, but, overall the season is too long and most games are too boring.
basketball: another beautiful sport, especially at the college level where they all have the desire to win.

The whole world plays it. Few outside the USA care about our sports. Hell, even I only watch the NFL. Even there you have Terrell Owens & Keyshawn Johnson screwing things up. Talk about HUGE EGO'S!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to see Christiano Ronaldo on a true AMERICAN Football field. Soccer has more gay athletes than any other spoprt but figure skating (e.g. Ashley Cole)
