WHEN THEY TURN 6 MONTHS THATS WHEN YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO BURP THEM SO MUCH ANYMORE AND THEY WILL EVENTUALLY DO IT ON THERE OWN

I think my daughter did that on her own around 10 months. But it was still a habit for me to pat her back.

I believe burping babies is pretty unnecessary, especially if you're breastfeeding or using bottles designed to minimize air getting into baby's tummy. I never burped my baby and she seemed to be perfectly fine...
