This is the same answer I gave to a previous question but I feel it warrants repeating.

Absolutely! Lobbyists are contributing to the ruining of our representative government. So are campaign contributions from major companies and conglomerates. When politicians (Republican and Democratic) are more worried about making sure a certain legislation gets passed because the company that wrote them a fat check last election would really like it, we need a change! The people of this country need to take back our government. I say we start from the ground up. No more donations from multibillion dollar companies and no more expensive dinners with self serving lobbyists. I don't really want to see your ridiculous negative ads that cost copious amounts of money anyway. I want to hear the issues. The amount of money politiicans spend on campaigning is absurd.

No more legalized bribery.

The citizens should represent themselves. They don't need power hungry lobbyists going to Washington to do it for us. It's our responsibility as a citizen to express our views to our representatives. And f they don't respect them, it is our responsibility to not vote them into office again. Not to mention lobbying in inherently unfair. The groups with the most money or most political clout get first dibs on government legislation.

While I may say yes to your first question about corruption being out of control, I would say no to your last one, I don't think the very worst Americans are in govt. Now I also think that corruption has been in our govt since they signed the declaration. No one is perfect - we are all human. It's not an excuse but where mans hands have been there have also been mistakes. Have you seen The Distinguished Gentleman with Eddie Murphy? Yes, it's a movie but doesn't the truth come out in humor? For some people in this world whatever career they choose they have to scam and screw others to get ahead. Unfortunately, I think corruption will always be apart of our govt as it will always be apart of our world.

It's been awhile since we governed on ideas and plans. As long as I have been a voter, the dollar does the voting and legislating in our country. There is no easy way out, unfortunately. Unless we are open to mass reform, and I'm not, it will take a huge surge from a third party based in the middle class to clean up our two main political parties. Both of these parties are the same. They are like an old married couple that is too stuck in their ways.

A successful third party would go a long way to fixing our problems. The legislative branch of our government is a country club and I would love to see something fresh.

Theres no doubt its out of control and going to get worse until people unite and hold judges and legislators accountable for violating our constitution They might not be the worst Americans but definitely the greediest for money and power at the peoples expense .I asked people in here who care enough about our nation to to contact me at patriot4liberty@excite.com to help me organize and unite our citizens for the good of our people .Not one person contacted me .One individual can't change things . People don't seem to care about the quality of life we are going to leave our children and grandchildren . A bird who is born and raised in a cage doesn't ever know how great freedom is

Our modern government is no more than 2 parties fighting for power with the public caught in between. Most people don't vote because candidates A and B are the same in their eyes. I believe that the party system should be abolished in order to help destroy corruption.

Yes, unfortunately I think it is also too broken to be fixed.
