Of course they are - and young adults too. They think they know everything, it seems. They can be very selfish and egocentric - and their inability to comprehend how hard other people work for them and for the money needed to care for them is frightening.

The problem with that is that they are supposed to be that way. They are supposed to be hyper creative and brave as this time in their lives. They are supposed to be making up their own mind (which comes out as not listening to others most often). They are supposed to still have the carefree existence of youth (and not have to worry about money) and experiment with things (which sometimes comes out as them doing stupid things). They still are kids, at the heart of it - but they are starting to look like adults (and so we expect more from them than they can actually do, simply because they are still kids).

Don't worry, as annoying as teens are now, they will also be annoyed by teens themselves one day (just as we, annoying teens from yesteryear, are annoyed today). I am hoping that at the grandparent level we can just be delighted with them.

Peace!

Yes, they are very annoying. I think so because, like every other adult since Socrates, who is historically credited with asking the question, "What's the matter with children today?," I've matured past their mindset. When you are an adult you will think so too.
However, I DO realize that it is my generation that is designing, selling and promoting the annoying products, clothing, videos, games and other teenaged crazes and getting rich off their general depravity. Sad.

Yes, teenagers can be annoying just like anybody else. It is actually a teenagers job to be annoying, that is what makes parents ready to let them go when it is time, and the teenager ready to leave home when it is time.

Leave the teenagers alone. One persons act is annoying to another. A muslim prayer at 5 am is annoying, the noise of the traffic is annoying to another, my neighbours 4 dogs annoy me, so someone is annoying another all the time. stop blaming the teenagers they are just being themselves.

Yes of course they are sometimes annoying, but that's not always a bad thing! Some of the most annoying things can be really fun/funny!

yes.
it wasn't long ago I was an ignorant teenager myself, and i admit, i would think i was annoying if i saw myself back then, now (does that even make sense?)
anyways, teenagers think they KNOW everything and think they KNOW how things should be, when really, they berely know anything at all.
then, as you get older you just come to know that really, you'll never know everything and THAT'S just the way it is...

yes, because most have no morals, and most think they know everything, when in reality, they don't have a clue. Most are self centered and havn't an idea about the horrors that go on in this world, yet they complain and think their lives have come to an end when they don't get the ipod or laptop that they wanted, or the boy that had sex with them last night is now seeing someone else. Not all, but most.

Well, they are less fun to play with.
Between 18+ cousins I know sleep alot and watch movies and just use the PC often.
Soon, their childhood will be a mere figment of their imagination, for people I know.

But this also applies for certain adults, too.
