Try checking the antennas if they are connected properly. If this doesn't help you should consider buying stronger antennas for the computers with the problems.

The router should be blinking, mine is doing it right now.

Wireless networks have all sorts of connectivity problems, especially when it is a low signal to start with. Apparantly, a wet dog can mess it up. However, I think it might've been caused by atmospheric pressure change or something like that. The only answer is to buy better antennas for a more reliable networking.

Oh, and if you haven't done it yet, try restarting all of your hardware and see if it works after that.

Several things could be the culprit here. Two possible options, proxy server setting or DNS settings. Proxy server was discussed earlier in this post so I will move on to the other option. If you setup your wireless connection manually then ensure you pointed your DNS server to your routers IP address. DNS routes "names" into numbers and games and programs such as limewire have set numbers rather than names which is why your connection works there. If you did not intentially set your wireless connections IP address then go ahead and double check to make sure its Automatic by going to Control Panel and click Network Connections. Right click Wireless connection and click Properties. Click TCP/IP and click settings. Make sure both bubbles say automatic in there. Good luck.

When modem (DSL/cable) blink fast, it is the modem trying to establish connection with the ISP side. If you are using DSL modem, please make sure there is no phone connected before the DSL filter. It would be best to move the DSL filter next to the phone line coming, so that you know for sure all the phones in the house are after the filter. I would also move modem close to it also, let network cable running longer, but keep the phone line short.

Let me get this straight:

1. you hook up wireless router
2. you connect your computers
3. you bury 1 computer in the basement
4. computer buried in basement doesn't work

Frankly, I see some clues here......
