eTrust by Computer Associates - is a commercial level - used by many big companies. However they offer a free one year subscription for Microsoft users. You can get it at the site linked below.
All of these other free software programs are decent but not commercial level so you never know what other information is being gathered by them, from your computer. I'd be careful using anything free off the Internet that is not commerically recognized.
If you want to use an on-line scanner use eTrust or TrendMicro and they will not only scan but remove. Some others will only scan but if they find something you have to pay to have it removed.

Scan the PC with standard antivirus software. If you do not have one, I can give a few links that offer free virus and spy ware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

avg is better than most of the supposed top flight anti virus software systems and its free. Alternatively get yourself a mac because they don't have viruses!!!!

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.
besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

i use avg anti virus free on mine by grisoft its free all time just look on google fr site n download it but download the 7.5 edition
