I lost my mucus plug last night, but it didn't have any blood. Does that mean labor will be soon. I have been contracting for 2 weeks now and on medicine to slow them. My cervix is soft, but not dialated. I feel like I am carrying a bowling ball between my legs and have pains down there. What should I expect? Should I call and tell my doctor about my mucus plug?

Yeah I would call they might want to make sure you aren't dialating, although your mucus plug could come out as much as 2 weeks before labor. When you have any doubts go ahead and call your doctor after all that's what they're here for.

Yes call your doctor.... Some people lose them and have the baby right away some don't for a while. I didn't have any blood. but best of luck. the doctor is the only one that can help you from here on.

That's no problem that there was no blood.I lost mine about 3 weeks ago and still no baby.But the fact that you've had contractions and your on medicine for them,that could be a concern.I didn't tell my doctor right away because I had a doctors appt. the next week and he got kinda mad.I think they would just like to know everything.So I would call him, it wouldn't hurt.Good luck....

Yes call your doctor, when something like that happens always call the doctor. Labor could still not be just around the corner but you never know.

i would call your doctor and let him/her know just because it sounds like youre at risk for preterm labor since uve already been put on medicine to slow the contractions. more than likely you will have your baby any day. how far along are you? hopefully ur not super early. i gave birth at 35 weeks and had a beautiful and HEALTHY baby girl. good luck to you!!

If you lost your mucus plug I would be calling the doctor and find out if you need to be seen. Usually if you lose your mucus plug that means your dilating as well. Please call your doctor.

yes, you should call you doctor about your mucous plug. odds are you will be told that as long as your not bleeding or leaking fluid to stay home and continue your meds. you may be put on bed rest or be asked to come to the hospital though. Good Luck and Congratulations.

I NEVER LOST MINE TIL I WENT INTO LABOR BUT SOME PPL LOSE THERES 2 WEEKS OF EVEN LATER THEN THAT SOMETIMES CONGRATS ON THE BABY IT SHOULD BE SOON
