That fear comes from your vision. In other words, you fear because you see.
What if you don't see, and do it. Have you done it in the dream. To overcome it, you have to find out why you fear. Is it body related? Do you feel fainted or have you had any bad experience happened to you. You have to examine fully first in order to overcome it.
By simply fighting fear with fear won't work, that may cause more stress and more fear. However, if you understand it first, then you fight fear with fear.
My guess is there may something in you mind that you try to deny about. You probably want everything act and look the way it is. Seeing things upside down could trigger that fear of incompleteness. Again, understand your fear first, then you try to find a way to look it psychologically, then perhaps you can slowly do a somersault with eyes closed, then eyes opened.
Good luck!

Go see a hypnotherapist. They can remove those fears with relative ease. There is no need to live with them at all. Fears are learned and programmed into the subconscious mind (the part of us responsible for our safety and survival). Fear is a healthy emotion when there is danger present. If you are standing at the edge on the top of an 80 story building and there is no railing and the wind is blowing very hard..you should be afraid. This is a logical response. If you are afraid of a housecat this is not logical and you can get rid of it. In your case, it would take about oh...10 minutes, to never be bothered by it again for the rest of your life.

When we are young children we will go on the swings, the round about, we do rolling down hills, we spin around with our arms floating in the air. When we get older we stop doing these childish things, and therefore the fluids in the inner ear aren't exercised like they used to be. This will make you dizzy when you attempt to turn yourself up side down, go on a roller coaster, roll under water, etc. Its because your body has lost the ability to orientate itself in 'action'. If you start training slowly you will win back the ability to do these things. Start by laying on the floor all stretched out, with your arms over your head, then roll slowly 3 times one way and 3 times back. Remember you are not in a rush, take your time. If you know a place with a swing, try it, you dont go higher than where you feel safe, and then a little bit more. Do things that are about moving your body in all different directions, up and down.
Good luck!

Go on a rollercoaster or something. Somehow, you have to force yourself to be upside down for some amount of time. It won't be an overnight fix, but gradually do it more and more often until you get used to it. Try a somersault sometime and then try them more and more often.

Try being upside down, like hanging off a couch, for maybe 5 seconds a day. Then each time get a little more time udside down. If you can't do that then maybe try taking a picture and hanging it updie down on your wall and stare at it. That will help you conquer your fears!

You can hardly tell you're going upside down and it's just fun....I guess I'm not the right person to help you because I love adrenalin so it's just naturally fun to me. "Man up"? lol the thing is thousands of thousands of people have ridden it before you and been completely fine and so will you. Just be logical about it if you ask me.
