unfortunately, its a result of the way blacks have been portrayed to the "other" public. what makes it worse is that many blacks accept and promote this image because they do not know their own history (either willingly or unwillingly). most of the black history we have learned in schools is tame compared to anything real. being considered gangsta is not a good thing, its just people advocating ignorance.

How in the hell did you arrive to that conclusion? I thought it was the Italians that had the gangsta title! You know, Al Capone, 'the Gambino Family, the Carlucci's, the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, the whole dumping in the river with cement tide to their feet, a bullet between the eyes professional style! cause white men cant dance. jk jk. i think its because it is mostly african american men that are involved in gangs, like REAL gangs, im not talking about all theese little kids running around thinking they thugs cause they have a gun. and black men kind of made the whole 'image' of gangsta.
