Use a kohl pencil they're much easier to use. Take your time. For your top lid keep close to the lashes and draw a line, don't lean heavy. If it is not dark enough layer the colour go over the last line until you have the correct colour.
For your bottom lid, draw the line through the eyelashes using the same technique as the top.
Practice, not everyone can take eyeliner all the way round the eye, if your eyes are small don't put inside the lid instead put it on the lashes and use a white pencil inside the lids to open the eyes.
Have fun :-)

What you can do is this- some kinds of eyeliners have the wood around them so you have to sharpen them and the pencil gets think and breaks to much. Go to wallgreens- there is a retractable eyepencil from jordana, it is called- jordana, easyliner for eyes. They have many diffrent colors depending on what you like. I buy them all the time and the eye pencil works perfectly. From experience I know this. Now I dont have to sit there sharpening the pencil. It is so easy because you can just take it out and do it really quick. It works much better than other eyelliners. Go over to Wallgreens and buy one!
Good Luck with the eyeliner!

Get the twist up retractable waterproof kind! The regular pencil one is much smudgier and the pieces or shingles just scratches the eye after bit of pressure! The waterproof one never smudges or runs! I've cried and cried but they didn't budge! I never stick to one brand simply because I'm in three different countries in one year! So I realized that they're all similar. I've bought them off of eBay or ran to the pharmacy to get some. They're all very similar. Don't get black though if you find brown ones! If not available then it's fine. Apply mainly over the lash (keep the lid taut by pulling the side).

If u r using the pencil eyeliner, get a sharp one/sharpen it frequently. But a liquid one would be better. Also, apply it using the tip of the eyeliner and try not to shake ur hand.Don't worry, practice makes perfect.U should do it very well after a few more times :)

depend on what type of eyeliner you are using. Pencil liner usually works better when warmed up, try lighting the tip of the pencil with a lighter for a second. gel liners that are used with a brush go on a lot smoother when you add a little bit of vaseline to the brush, and liquid liners are basically foolproof if u hold your eyelid taught while standing in front of a mirror. hope that helps.

This is how I put it on;First I sharpen the pencil, then light it with a lighter for a brief moment, then blow on it, here is the tricky part; pull back your lower eyelid and aim between eyeball and eye lashes and do it real light and use either black or navy blue, looks sexy, enjoy. Remember practice makes perfect. What about your sister, she knows her stuff, because she was taught by someone. Could bring you too closer, if that's what you want?!

eyeliner should be used on the top lids just above the eyelashes to give them a fuller look. On the bottom, instead of using an eyeliner, try using the eye shadow you use. Use the tip of the applicator and use the same color eye shadow you use.

i put on a powder eyeshaddow with a thin brush in dark brown it makes a straight line without any bother, if i want to glam up my look i put liquid eyeliner on then the powder on top to even it out and make it look straight. Also i find dark brown eyeliner is better than black it looks black, but isnt is harsh on your face

If you use a pencil, try switching to a non-retractable type. It's softer and will apply without any tugging or flaking. You can set it to keep it from smudging by either applying eye shadow or loose powder over it.
