The man-on-top position works well when trying to conceive. Place a small pillow under your hips following intercourse so that your cervix basically rests in the pool of semen for a short time (perhaps 20 minutes or so). This will allow the sperm time to easily swim up through the cervix. (Important Note: Do not use a large pillow, or you may sabotage your efforts, since the sperm may then puddle behind your cervix. Not a good place to be when trying to reach that egg.)

Any position will do, so long as your partner ejaculates inside your vagina. It also helps if you lay on your back and tilt hips upward right after. You must also be ovulating. This is typically the week after the last day of your period. WebMD has a great ovulation calender, and it's free. It will even tell you how to conceive a girl or boy if you have a preference. We tried first for a boy, then two years later a girl and it worked both times. Good luck and have fun trying!

Missionary, with the woman having her orgasm after the man does. Female orgasm causes the cervix to spasm and that helps get the sperm where it needs to go. Also, the woman should lay in bed for several minutes after sex rather than racing to the bathroom to clean up.
Also, the timing is very important. You must know when you're ovulating to properly time intercourse for conception. Try having sex 4 days before ovulation, then 2 days before, then on the day of ovulation. Sex after ovulation is pretty pointless (from a baby-making perspective, that is ;-). They say that sperm can live inside a woman for 3-5 days after sex occurs, which really favors having sex *before* ovulation, since eggs live a much shorter time.

There is no such 'best' position for having children. Any position will do. What is needed is that semen should get into the vagina. It would be better if the lady lies on her left flank after the intercourse as this would ensure that semen gets into and remains inside the vagina.

him on top. after he finishes lay with your hips propped up on a pillow for at least 20 minutes.good luck. anything with you not on top is good. I have a tilted uterus and the doctor said that doggy is good for conceiving with a tilted uterus. good luck!
