I've done breakfast by myself at Denny's. Bar???? naw... I'd rather just go to a liquor store and drink at home.

I go to dinner by myself sometimes, when I am craving for a certain food. I go to bars by myself, I am a woman so I am never alone at the bar. Meeting new people is fun.

I travel for business and often go to dinner by myself.
I don't mind solitude, so I often go get dinner by myself and then take it back to my hotel room where I can host my own thoughts while I eat without interruption by some vapid hostess.
I also appreciate going to dinner with the family more after I've spent a few evenings by myself.
Since I neither booze nor appreciate sports much, I don't go to bars.

I'd go out for dinner by myself. Actually, I have and it was fine. I brought a book. I wouldn't go to a bar by myself though.

No, I never do that. I would feel extremely uncomfortable.
