I'm so sorry... I've gone through this. If indeed you have miscarried, your body will take up to 4 weeks at the most to realize you are no longer pregnant because the moment you got pregnant it started to prepare for the next 9 months. I'm really sorry. Go to the doctors again. I will be praying for your heart and mind to be at peace.

When you have a miscarriage your hormone levels still read like you are pregnant on a HPT test. I miscarried at 9 weeks and didn't find out until I was 13 weeks along. My levels were the same, but the ultrasound showed different. All my levels did not go back to normal until after I had a D & C to clean my system out. The doctor told me that until you body realizes that your pregnancy is over, the levels will not change. It takes a little time, but if you are unsure of what your doctor told you, go see them and have them do a blood test to see for sure.

After a miscarriage, the body's level of hcg goes down at about the same rate as it went up, which means it will halve each day. This means that you can take a home test and still show positive, even after you've miscarried. Wait a week or two and take another test. If it's still positive, you may still have a chance.

Good luck. I'm 6 weeks too, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I would sugest you go back to the doctors and have them do an internal ultrasound... I just recently had a miscarriadge, although in my sithuation.. my hormonal count was higher then twodays before, they coun't explain it, the only reason they knew I misscarried was because they did an internal ultrasound and did not detect a heartbeat... I was about as far along as you are and they should be able to detect a heart rate at this stage of the pregnancy.. Best of Luck.

I had a miscarrige several years ago and I also still had symtoms of being pregnant and took another test and it came back positive....the answer my doctor gave me was that it was too soon and my body still had evidence of pregnancy. Wait another week and take another test. If it is still positive then you need to see your OBGYN.

Your symptoms of pregnancy can last for a while. You'll also be testing positve for a while your hormone levels are still high which causes your tests to be positive.

did they say you miscarried? or do you just think you did from the hormone levels and the spotting? what? spotting happens sometimes and that's kind of normal. anything more than that and you need to see the doc. you should call them anyway. but this does not mean you miscarried at all.

Then your probably still pregnant. Go to the doctor with proof in hand if all possible. Have them give you a blood test and a UltraSound
