It's very normal. Tell her to go get some Lansinoh or other breastfeeding product containg lanolin to soothe her nips!

Relax. As gross and disturbing as it is, it's mainly secretions from the nipple that's drying and forming a crust on her nipples. It looks disturbing, but a little soap and water should take it right off.
I'm going through the same thing, and I started wiping them off a few times a day with a baby wipe. Perhaps that will help her, too.

yep. Breasts go through a lot of changes during pregnancy, chapping/dry skin is normal...and like others have recommended: get some cocoa butter, shea butter, or check out different nipple creams made for breastfeeding women.

Extremely normal. The skin on my face even dried p alot in the first trimester of my pregnancy! It is almost back to normal now. Our bodies go thru different stages including our skin.
22 weeks, 1st baby!

Mine did, too. Buy some Lansinoh and have her keep it on her nipples. It is a gel used for dry nipples from breast feeding.

Really her case is dependent on wheather she has secretions, ulceration, pain, and if it is accompanied with swelling at arm pit.
