...help around the house in a meaningful way. I do all of the shopping, nearly all of the cooking and split the house work. Totally involved in school and kids activities. Coach, volunteer and tutor.Changing diapers was never a problem nor midnight feedings. I can play a flute, fix a car or build a house, play sports/watch sports work full time and sometimes add a part time job. Just curious how active other men/dads were with their famlies and how versitile they were. I think my wife takes me for granted sometimes.

OK I do play the flute but actually play many instruments. My point is I'm versitile and apply my efforts completely to my family, school and community.

Wow it seems no matter how you word something someone takes it the wrong way. I'm not bragging. Most of the guys I know work, mow grass, watch TV. I was stretching the boundries and see how active other guys are with family responsibilities.

I help my girlfriend around the house, we divide our chores in half and I cook clean wash closth just as much as her, but I do do the things that most men should do like mowe grass, or fix the car, or build a new shed, thats things that if the guy is able to do they should do.

Wow, sounds like we have ourselves a little bragger here.
Believe it or not, there are a lot of guys out there that do that and more. So get off your high horse and just keep doing the best you can do. Don't try to put others down.

wow - and you can play the flute! that is an impressive list and your wife should be thrilled. My hubby does all that too, but cant play the flute to save his life.

you sound like a great guy and she should appreciate the gem she has....you are definately in the minority when it comes to men and how much they contribute at home....keep it up dad....I'm jealous
