Hi I have a few questions. I am attempting to use wi-fi.
How would I know If I have a wireless adapter?
could you give me any recommendations on any wireless adapters and wireless router with switch?

Most lap tops today have Wi Fi built in. Usually your internet provider can swap out your modem for one with Wi Fi for free. If not D-Link is a good cheap brand for a wireless router. they also make a card that goes in a desktop to make it wireless. Its an Air Plus G model DWL-G510.

Whats the make and model of your computer? Is it a laptop or desktop? If you already have one installed, it will show under the Device Manager in Windows.Right click on "My Computer", and select "Properties", then "Hardware", then "Device Manager", look for "Network Devices". As for a good adaptor and router, i personally like Linksys or Netgear, but its kind of a personal preference. Check your local electronics store, or Newegg dot com is a really good site to check out. Hope thats helped!

Click on Start
Click on Run
type ncpa.cpl and press Enter
Any wireless adapters would show up here

I've used NetGear and Linksys devices with no problems. Go online and read reviews.
