As most people have said, it depends on their contract. I would like to correct one post, though. One POINT is NOT one cent! It's more like one PERCENT (based on a figure that is LESS THAN 100%, though).

It all depends on "points", if an artist has 1 point that equals about 1 cent everytime that an album sells-so if 1 million copies sell that is 1 millon pennies or $10,000, so the more "points" you get the more money you make, but it is decided on how much someone has to do w/an album, are they the songwriter and the artist, did they produce it etc, all of this adds up. Hope this helps. :-) Happy New Year!!

dpends on their contract, how much the advance was (paid off first !) and whether they wrote the songs or not, guest appearences get paid a flat fee like session musicians, also if the members of the group get an equal spit (culture club yes, oasis no)

musicians get very very little for their albums because thats when the recording people, and producers collect their share, thay maye get like 10 cents an album.

It all depends on the details of the contract they worked out. Varies from group to group, etc.
