do men compare their wives to their friends wives?

It is just natural. Wives do the same for husbands but that does not mean that they value theirs less or love them less. Mothers keep comparing their children to other people's children but still their own children are always the apple of their eyes.

Only if they are incredibly insecure and married only to have someone on their arm that their friends can admire. Getting married is not a competition- only the most immature would compare their wives to their friends wives.

Sure, I am a married guy and we talk about how great someone else's wife is ....she never complains if her husband drank too late with us, or blah blah.......but then how come some wives start comparing with other husbands about how well he is doing and that so and so husband has bought a new car?. The basic point is the same...human nature.....

Unfortunately yes. Well, at least I have. Which also leads to problems like "is the grass really greener?"
It happens when your unhappy with your spouse in a particular area, and you notice a friends spouse and how great it would be if your spouse was like that. Of course, there are other areas just the opposite.
Anyways, yes I think all people do that at one time or the other.

Yes and I hate it, all hubby friends talk about us girls, my hubby brags and brags about what a great woman, friend, wife, cook and how smart I am, how clean the house is and on and on, then they go home and tell their girlfriends and wives to call me for pointers and tips, or they say they don't fight, she says, she does this and that, then the girls get mad at me and don't want the guys to hang together anymore, but they still do and we laugh about it, especially the ones that say they want me to get a divorce from hubby and marry them

Yes, this bad habit is found in every husband. The husband does not feel satisfied with his wife. Evey wife has got some positive points on the contrary he looks negative qualities in his wife and see positive qualities of friend's wife.

I think we all compare one person to someone else atleast once in our lives. We compare our parents with other parents, our kids with other kids, our freinds with other freinds, so YES I think they do.

sometimes i wouldnt worry about it so much though you know once i think of it ya we do a lot like if my buddies wife got implants i gewt envy a lot and well thats just say i end up sleeping on the couch =( so pleas please dot worry about it so much =)
