caucasion man. But whenever we go out I get evil looks from some black men. But... when I wasn't dating anyone, and went out with my girlfriends, brothers wouldn't even think twice about looking at me, it was always my friends. Now that I have a man of a different race, they want to look at me and roll eyes etc... what gives? any other time they would just look away and I am a beautiful, clean, well dressed woman and I carry my size well. Thank you.

♥♥ we have mad love for each other ♥♥ But when I wasn't dating, and was turned down by black men it did hurt 'cause I wanted to date within' my race but I found a man that loves me for me and not for the color of my skin or the size of my pants ♥♥ The reason I ask this question is because to the brothers that look over a sister because of whatever faults he thinks she has, remember we have feelings too and not all of us are about the wrong attitude. ♥♥
♥♥♥ Peace ♥♥♥
♥♥ Thanks for your answers. ♥♥

Slave mentality. My ex was the same way. His brother is married to a white girl and they've all dated white girls but he'd get pissed when he saw a black girl with a white guy. He'd say "how can a black woman be with a white man when they used to rape the women back in those days?" I dated a white guy and he was nicer to me than any other guy I've ever gone out with. If he hadn't joined the army and moved away, I'd probably be married to him with a bunch of mixed babies. Date who you want and be happy. It's a classic case of "don't want you but don't want you to be with one of them" mentality.

Well....I'm not trying to make any excuses for the brothers, but I think that many black people(in general) dont like to see our brothers and sisters with another race. Both men & women. Especially caucasions. There's something about the whole racism thing that gets in the way of excepting interracial relationships with African-Americans and Caucasions.
In addition, although you are a beautiful African queen, alot of guys are very intimidated by strong women and are afraid to approach them. So although, they don't try to talk to you, I'm sure they would like to. However, the fact that you're with a white man, makes it hard to except.
I can not judge anyone......so Honey, if you're happy and in love...then more power to you!!! I hope that everything works out!!

It's called ignorance and no matter where you go, those types of people, will always exist. Some black men date white women, but when we date white men, they say negative thing's and they give us looks, as if a man of a different race, (especially white) is not worthy of being with us. Some black men accuse us black women, of trying to be white and some also accuse us of thinking we're better than our own race, which is crazy. My husband is white, we have been together for a total of 12 and a half years, but married for 8 and a half years. My husband and I for some reason, don't get alot of stares and out of honesty, I think it's because my husband has dark eye's and a dark skin tone, he looks like he has a nice tan, year round, it wouldn't bother me if people did stare, I would just smile at them. I think when it comes to black men, some of them give you evil looks, out of jealousy, wishing they were the one with you, instead of a white man. You're going to get evil and good looks, from all types of races, so if you really like this man, be prepared for this kind of behavior from people, to happen. If these black men you're referring to, wanted to date you, when you were single, their dumb @sses should have asked you out, why have the attitude now, just because you are dating a white man, that's their loss. Keep your head up and unless those black men, you're referring to, are paying your bills, who cares what they think and say about you and the white man you're dating. If those black men, were real men, you would still be black and beautiful, in their eye's. Not all black men, are in the same classification, you are still a beautiful black woman, to the ones, that won't judge you, regardless of who you date. If you like this white man, don't let anybody ruin something, that could turn into something serious and beautiful. Sorry for the long answer, it's just that, I can relate to what you're saying.

They only want what they can't have. So when you're with a guy, especially a caucasion one, they're probably mad that you've been taken off the market by a white guy.

Ignore them. You only worry about what makes you happy. They are probably upset because you are not dating within your race. That is so immature. I would just have a hell of time with your caucasian man. I would grab him more and kiss him more and really piss them off! LOL Good luck.

Society promotes the wrong ideas, one of them being that it isn't acceptable to date someone outside of your own race. I'm dating someone of a different race and am loving every minute of it.. I don't really care what others think, as long as I'm happy.

Maybe the next time one of them gives you a dirty look, you should approach them and ask them where they were when you were looking for a good black man.

OK, here's what you do (voice of experience, here)
Just look them in the eye, like STARE, til they realize what dumb@sses they are, and quit.
Just freeze them with a stare. Walk on.
Love whomever you choose.

You know what? Do what makes you happy. If that means dating a white guy, so be it. Who cares about color?
