Stealing is wrong!!! That being said let's move on to property and ownership in a marriage. Now, these are the laws in my state, so please consult your state laws to see if guilt should play a role in your situation.
Since you are married, then both of you are entitled to 50% of each others property. If your wife had at least $80 in her purse, then let the guilt go, half was yours anyway. If she had less than $80 then we have to move on to the next step.
Look in your closets if your wife has more than $40 worth of clothes/shoes than you do, then the guilt issue is resolved, otherwise we'll have to move on.
If you shared half your beer with her then all would be fine!

The question is: How do you feel?
Stealing is bad - especially from those close to you.
I wonder why did you feel the need to steal in order to drink beer?
Seems like you need to be honest about a few personal issues.
It's okay to seek help.

It depends, did you steal it or did you borrow it? Do you think she will notice all of the beer? 40 bucks can buy about 3 cases. lol!

Roberto - This question is worse than your prior question about overlooked parts of the house. Stop smoking, get off your butt and make your own money. As for whether you should feel guilty about stealing money, if you don't know the answer to that one you are more pathetic than I thought.

Depends on the beer you got.
Keystone light: feel guilty
Guinness: You did the right thing.

OMG....I have been there and done that. I am a recoving addict (female) and used to steal money from my fiance's (now my husband thank God) change jar which had at one time over $300 till I got done with it. Yes you should feel guilty and if you have to steal to support your "habit" then maybe you should look into AA or another rehab of some sort.

Yes you should feel guilty. Not only are you stealing., but you stealing from your wife. Look at why you are stealing too. I mean it seems to me that you have a acohol problem and need to go to AA meetings. You are at a crack head level.

Just go and put her money back. Be careful not to advance in your theft. You know you start from the house before you go into the banks, watch out.
