i play hockey...and quite obviously i'm a girl but we have to travel to diferent states to find another girls team......it's pretty big in canada but why not here. when i tell people i play hockey they're like "there's girls ice hockey? i had no idea!"

Not just Canada, Minnesota has 100+ girls' hockey teams. I think Wisconsin and Michigan also have a decent number, though neither has two classes/divisions like Minnesota does. Maybe you just live in the wrong state.

There aren't enough girls that play ice hockey especially in california, there are teams in riverside and stuff, but where i live there isn't even a girls leauge, i have to play with the boys, not that i don't like playing with the boys but i kind of wish more people were into it around here

I'm with ya there! It's like people are stuck in a time warp! The Mid-Atlantic Women's Hockey League (MAWHL) supports woman's hockey up and down the east coast. People are so shocked to find there are women's teams around!
I would like to see them play at half time during NHL games. Team's have the kids play during half time why so not the women!

Womens hockey is getting preety big in Phoenix area. Some places have enough teams for a league and others play in mens leagues. Do you live in the city or small town?

Man! I know what you mean! I live in Memphis, TN, and I have to travel three hours just to be in the same city as my team. Our Nashville team has girls from Memphis, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky!! And that is just where we have girls from. Our team has gone up to Michigan; Chicago; Windsor, ON, CA; Connecticut; and a bunch of other places.
We just went to the Polar Bear tournament up in Connecticut. We won first place!!!! We are one of the first southern team to win, ever!! Isn't that awesome?? I am the goalie, and I was very excited!! We even bet the team that won Nationals last year!! I hope we make it to Nationals in San Jose, CA. That would be really cool.

there's girls on my hockey heck theres a girls on our high school team. i dont see anything wrong with girls in hockey the problem is there arent enough girls who want to play ice hockey in the us

Well i dont know ether! our school is big in hockey and both of our boys and girls teams are state champs. so i don't know what to tell you!
