I get 9 hours of sleep on school days and im in high school. i feel like i get the right amount of sleep but i still feel refreshed with 8 hours of sleep. teens should get about 8-9 hours if they want to feel upbeat and ready to wake up for school. i would try to stay away from 5 hours because it's not enough of time for your body to rest. hope my advice helped.

most teens get about 7 1/2 hours sleep per a national study.
so it sounds like you are about right. I would stay away from the 5 hour nights during the school week. Your brain needs time to re-boot.

It is okay if you are rested. It is okay if you are utilizing your time wisely. It is not okay if you are endangering your health, tired, or doing things that are unhealthy in place of rest/sleep.
