Not necessarily, It could be that you were missed and they had to send a general refuse wagon for the missed ones but it also could be possible that they sent out one of the wagons that go out for the green wheelie bins which would be compacted, I know that Leeds city council tries wherever possible to recycle even if its been missed by the regular vehicle, I'm not sure if thats the same for your area.

I'm always a bit wary about all this recycling nonsense and looking after the planet.
I've never really trusted any of it after I found that all of the used batteries collected from a great number of locations by a large company "so that they could be safely disposed of" were in actual fact chucked in the nearest handy builders skip !

round here they usually have seperate bin lorries so i would say that they are going to be recycled, they probably used a compactor to cope with all the extra Christmas rubbish.

How very naughty of them !! :o) And yes probably... Get a green recycling wheely bin, they cant take that unless they tie it to the back of the lorry. You can always ring the council and ask for one unless your area doesnt have wheely bins yet.
