I say he wont die. Knowing the support he has in Iraq, something will happen and he will be kidnapped only to surface a few years later more powerful, more victorious, brutally put his big boots down on those who opposed him. History will be re-written.

How many of you think this way?

Yes, I agree. The US should not of given him over to Iraq. They have lost control of him now and he will escape and not be hung. There are many Iraqi's on his side who will help him escape and justice will not be carried out and he will come back worse than ever.

He should be left alone. he was not responsible for 9-11. Why is US Govt so bent upon creating unnecessary enemies? endangering the safety of thier own nation!
If the people of Iraq hate him, let them hang him. Why should US Govt poke nose in other peoples issues? When all the time they have been secretly supporting and provoking these gulf wars!
I think its right to hand him to iraqi custody and let them decide what has to be done to him.
Hanging saddam will only create more unrest! thats for sure! Who knows how many more saddams are already in emergence!

Do you really think that the Americans are not over there watching him very carefully? I doubt he'll escape anytime soon. I think the whole "trial" was a big farce and it was NEVER intended that he would come out alive. Nor should he. It was designed to make the world (or the rest of his fanatics) think he was being given some semblance of a fair trial, which is a big joke! He never gave any of the people he tortured and murdered any mercy!

Nah this won't happen. After all he has done to the Iraqi people, a majority of them want to see him hung. He practically lost the support of his people when he started killing them. History can't rewrite itself with a man like Saddam. If anything he will be assassinated if something like that happens.

I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking how some people are just playing along so they can later bust him out of whatever lack of custody he is in so he can escape and hide out

It would not surprise me considering he is no longer in US custody. If he were still in our system, there would be no way he could escape. I certainly hope he doesn't though. I can't wait to see him gasp for air. If our boys are over having to fight for peoples freedom from people like him, and they are dying, I think he deserves the same.

The US made a mistake by hanging him - Saddam is being elevated to a martyr and that ensures he will never die; his legend will live on.

You could be right, but let's hope not for the world's sake. How he can still have people supporting him is beyond what my brain can comprehend.

I hope they take care of him, and do it tomorrow to end this year with it so next year can be a clean slate.

However, I doubt it will happen too - it all seems so soon.
