If a man's recent widow turned down an asbestosis settlement, can the man's former wife claim the settlement?

My father recently died and his widow turned down the asbestos settlement. Can his first wife claim the settlement?

No. She has no legal rights to any of his estate.

I suggest you contact a lawyer about this matter. It may depend on when the litigation was started. The first wife, who I presume is your mother, may have legal claims on the settlement if they were still married at the time. But, again, I urge you to contact a lawyer.
