LOL, no. Except maybe swimming but there's hardly overwhelming proof even there. If you're an amazing swimmer it may shave off (pun intended) those last couple second you need to win. Otherwise, no.

But, your legs will feel a lot more comfortable and look better so go for it. Also consider trying waxing or an epilator (but it needs to be a good epilator - those $25 ones at Wal-Mart just tug on the hair painfully without actually removing it). More painful, but you don't have to do it nearly as often.

Philips also has a shaver called the Bodygroom designed for men that's intended to be safe on your private parts. Never tried it but have thought of getting one.

Good luck in your pursuit of hairlessness :)

Shaving will only have a minimal impact on your swimming performance and no impact on cycling and running. However, most cyclists will shave because of many reasons
a) Massages will fell much better
b) Easier to put sunscrean
c) When you fall, having shaved legs greatly reduces the risk of infection.

Also, there is a psycological effect. Shaving your legs in prevision of a big event will just mind you towards it.

Finally, if you're training (running or biking), you'll have great, muscular legs...don't hide them...

It helps with bike riding in the sense that it's better if you fall with your body shaven because it makes you somehow less prone to injuries...so I've heard from my brother-in-law bike rider.
It probably helps a little with wind resistance too...but not much.

Bike riders shave because it hurts less to pull off a band-aid if there's no hair attached to it. That's all.

I've heard it only affects swimming.

I think the drag due to leg hair while running is negligible.
