When life is down to the bare survival level of "brutish" and "short", women's rights do not matter. Seriously.
When the smoke clears, the women in Afghanistan will be at pre-invasion full blue burka status, while the lifestyle and rights of Iraqi women will have regressed to the final days of the Ottoman Empire.
Go Progress! Go!

Different societies and if you had done your homework you would know in Afghanistan the people were oppressed by the Taliban, who forced the women to adhere to strict Islamic rules ,The Baath Party, with all the things they did wrong, ensured that Iraqi women had the most rights in the region, of course Saddam and his boys also had the right to put them into rape rooms. But Since the Iraqi vote, women make up one third of the national assembly.
good thing WWI and WWII were not televised , because if left up to the Democrats we'd be speaking Japanese or German...

Women WERE oppressed under the Taliban. And Afghanistan and Iraq now BOTH have secular governments, not Sharia law.

It's called Iraqi freedom, something that you obviously don't care for. You'd rather see Saddam back in power gassing his own people.
