I'm not convinced that you are. YOU may be the product of MY fevered imagination.
As we continue into the realm of computer simulations, I am sure there will be an increasing number of people wondering if they are alive. If the simulation is advanced enough there may be no telling. The only clue I use is how much I don't want to die. That means I'm alive in some sense whether or not the things around me are real.

This is a very challenging question and I've got both things: nothing to say and a lot to say.
First of all, I'd like to congratulate you as it's one of the best questions here at Answers posted and it requires philosophical replies that are worthy of the question.
It's quite enigmatic as being alive can be taken in two manners, first is literal that means surely you're alive as you're breathing, typing and thinking before putting up this question.
The second is philosophical, I can feel the reply but it's too good to be put down in words. I mean to say it relates to something that...
Sorry, I couldn't match up with my thoughts, they were moving at the speed of light and I lost the chain of thought. But I think that you might be able to comrehend what I'm saying as you might be intelligent enough as I can make out by the question you've posted.

We can never be sure that we are alive or that it is real. We may all be dreaming and might be right about to truly wake up in only a matter of minutes. Nothing is certain. Everything and anything is possible.
