Okay, so when ever I use say aftershave or cologne, it usually wears off after a few hours.
But there are some dudes who walk around smelling clean and pleasant like they just got out of the shower, and it seems it lasts several hours or most of the day. (Is that possible?)
Is there a secret to smelling nice all day long without carrying around cologne every where you go?

It's different from person to person. I dont use deoderant daily because I dont generally omit an odor. It could also be in the persons clothes, detergants are often very potent and stay smelling that way for hours. Also, the different foods you eat contribute to your odor.

Yes, I agree with what another poster says. IF you are using a cologne or an aftershave, use an expensive one. There is nothing more horrible than Old Spice or other things from the supermarket. Either a good one - or a shower twice a day.

don't make this mistake: i see my boyfriend and other guys spraying their chests (with their shirts on) with cologne or body spray all of the time. the secret to making your cologne last is to apply it not to the clothing, but to pulse points on the body. apply it to the back of the wrists, the inner part of the elbow, the nape of the neck, and between the chest. these points stay warmer than the rest of the body, helping your cologne create an aroma. to help this process, a lot of men and women apply a small amount of baby oil with the cologne/parfum in these spots.

remember that if you can't smell your own cologne after an hour or so, that doesn't mean others can't. you're undergoing something called "sensory adaptation,"in which your body will no longer recognize the scent.

(sensory adaptation: the tendency of a sensory system to adjust as a result of repeated exposure to a specific type of stimulus such as low levels of light)

Diet has a lot to do with it, Some spices and foods come through to your skin. If you eat curries that have fenugreek in them, for example, then your skin will have a fenugreek smell for a couple of days. Meat usually makes bad body odors. Vegetarians usually stink a lot less. Men who shave their bodies will smell rank because the air doesn't circulate on hairless bodies as well, and the sweat just sits there and gets putrid.
