It's a form of protest that doesn't hurt a human being. A country's flag is not a sacred item, including the American flag. If you are a patriotic American, then you must stand up for anyone's right to protest in that way. That's what this country is all about. You may not agree with the act, but you must believe in someone's right to do it.

I'm frankly fed up with all these people who use the U.S. flag as a decoration or fashion statement. It's not showing patriotism! I wonder how many people who slap flag decals on their pickup trucks, t-shirts, denim shorts, trucker caps, bandanas, etc. even bother to get their lazy asses out of their Lazy-Bum Recliners and go vote!

I would never burn the flag! I think it's terrible that ppl do this to prove a point. Some things should remain sacred!

I think it is horrible. It is a sad day when people feel its okay to disrespect the country that provides so much freedom to them, in the case of USA. It saddens me to see such a wonderful country lacking that patriotism it deserves.
