Because of the exorbitant incomes of the performers. Someone has to pay, and that would be you, the fans.

due to the popular demand of wealth among the rich and famous, ticket prices are priced high so the more sold, the more money the singer/performer makes. All singers/performers make a percentage of the ticket sales, so when tickets cost more and the show is still being close to or sold out, the performers make the most possible money at each show. Also the venue at which the performance takes place is a contributing factor. If the show is in a heavily populated, rich community tickets will be sold at a higher price. Hence why tickets are more expensive at city venues than country venues. Everything revolves around money.

Because we live in a world that is run by money. Actors & Actresses today earn a crap load more than they did 50yrs ago and its the same with music artists. And the more records they sell, the more money their tickets for a concert should sell for. And then there is the cut that their manager has to get, the ticket agencies, the promoters, the venue etc - so to make sure everyone gets something which they believe is appropriate they need to sell more expensive tickets.

Are you getting them now for a show that is really soon like this month or next month. Then yes they are a lot because you are buying them late,. If they are a lot and the concert is in some time then it is because the person is really popular. Easy. Always get tickets way ahead of time. Hope this helps

It's at concerts, believe it or not, that bands make their money that they get to keep. Promoters take their cut; halls cost money to rent and all that. But the record industry keeps most money an artist makes. That's the way a contract is set up. That's pocket change for an artist. Concerts, they get the lion's share of the take. That's why artists love to tour and perform. Cha ching, Cha ching!

Because first-rate concerts are not usually charity events. It is, like so many business, a place for profit. The bigger the star, the more you pay. Supply and demand and what the market will allow.

If they were cheap, the stars wouldn't be millionaires. Support your local music scene. The tickets are much cheaper.

Because we live in a capitalist society. Thing are only worth what people are willing to pay. If we all refused to pay the asking price for goods and services the selling price would have to come down. However, that leads to other issues. Simply, they charge that much because people are willing to pay that much.
